When it comes to shoes, you could say I have a bit of a love affair. Ever since I was little and my mom got me my first pair of kitten heels from the mall, I've been hooked. Today, in college and as an adult, my shoe obsession gets bigger and bigger every day. The Night Urge, a collaboration between my favorite designer Jeffrey Campbell and my favorite store Edge of Urge, is the coolest and most unique shoe to hit my closet so far. With a heel-less backside and lots of glitter, it's a shoe that can be worn in so many different ways. Plus, I can promise you that these shoes will grab every single person's attention. I kept my look simple, a pair of leggings, a fun shirt and obviously some accessories, but of course my favorite part of my outfit was my shoes. So, head to Edge of Urge and get your shoe shopping on, ASAP!
I'm actually kind of mad at myself for not featuring her already. To me, Carrie Bradshaw is 100% real, not just a fictional character played by Sarah Jessica Parker, who I love as well. Carrie Bradshaw is the definition of personal style. She embodies the ultimate fashionista and who all of us fashion majors hope to grow up to be. Sex and the City, as mentioned in a previous post, has a special place in my heart. I think my risk taking in fashion is all thanks to Carrie, as I was inspired every episode by the hats, the bags and the shoes Carrie rocked. There aren't enough words to explain my affection for Carrie Bradshaw, she is my style crush and my role model and her closet will always be my heaven.
The weather in Savannah has been chilly, so I've taken advantage of the low temperatures and pulled out my mom's vintage cheetah fur coat, sorry PETA. I live on a street that reminds me of Carrie Bradshaw's street in NYC, the cobble stone and the town houses make me feel like a part of my favorite city is here at home. I put on my new Bones dress from Nasty Gal and I paired it with some fun tights, boots and clutch. I was in New York for the day all the way in Savannah. The best part about my town is the appreciation for fashion, you never know what kind of street style you'll experience, the fashion department at SCAD is huge and there is inspiration everywhere.

The SAG Awards red carpet was filled with a bunch of my favorite actresses. All of the women who walked the carpet looked beautiful, of course with the exception of a few train wrecks. When I watch the red carpet, I am so judgmental only because I know that celebrities have so many amazing looks to choose from and something as small as the hair do can completely ruin an outfit. The six looks I've chosen as my favorite of the night really captured my attention. These amazing leading ladies had the perfect hair, the right amount of jewelry and enough confidence to make me wish I was them for the night. I am also happy to say that the men of the night were so well dressed as well, Justin Timberlake in Tom Ford was perfection. Read on to see why I chose these six actors as the best dressed of the night!
Jennifer Lawrence: Jennifer was just getting over pneumonia and still managed to look flawless. She wore Dior again and her boobs weren't pointing out. A+ girlfriend.
Lea Michele: She honestly seams so conceited but I can't help but admit that she looked hot. That shocking pink was the perfect color to make sure she stood out on the carpet. Her ombre hair was on point and the fact that she wore no jewelry totally worked for her.
Anne Hathaway: I usually hate short hair cuts on women. Maybe it's because I could never imagine going that short, but either way I'm not a fan. Anne has been ruling the carpet so far this award's season and she looked absolutley beautiful. Her dress was so cool and had just the right amount of sexy to it. I think I almost prefer Anne with short hair and I can't wait to see what she wears next.
Jessica Chastain: I love Jessica and her look at the SAG Awards was such an improvement from the globes. She's such a huge fan of McQueen and the designs always look amazing on her. The red dress along with her red hair, gorgeous.
Naomi Watts: No words, just perfection.
Amanda Seyfried: Okay, what the hell! Her stylist is amazing. I feel like I have never seen such an amazing hair, dress and accessory combination. That chain necklace and that train on her gown, OMG. Amanda was my all time favorite look of the night. I want to be her best friend and I also have a girl crush on her, love love love!
This weekend Nikki Krecicki and I had a fun photo shoot for my blog. I love doing these because I get to throw on my favorite outfits and take pictures with an amazing photographer. Living in Savannah, the weather was perfect this weekend; just cold enough to throw on my favorite leather jacket and boots. I am always into the grunge look, but I also like to add a feminine touch. By throwing on a bold lip and a rose gold necklace, my Missoni for Target dress went perfectly with my Jeffrey Campbell Litas and my jacket. If you're having a warm winter like I am, be sure to take advantage of the many ways you can wear a cute dress with those coats you have in your closet! It's always better to be over dressed, so make sure you have fun with your looks!

If you haven't already figured it out, I am seriously obsessed with boots. Shoes in general are my thing, but when it comes to boots, I can never resist. It's never a good idea for me to online shop, every week I find a new pair I want and it's a never ending cycle. I recently discovered that buckled boots always caught my attention and as I did more research, I found that my shopping carts began to fill up...with boots. So, my fashion crush of the week is very appropriate, considering how much I love each and every one of the shoes pictured above. A great boot can last you a very long time. I've had the soles replaced on my old Sam Edelman boots I got on sale back in high school three times and I plan on wearing them forever. So, if you're wondering what your next shoe purchase should be, take it from me and treat yourself to a new pair of buckled boots and I swear you'll love them forever.

The best part about going to the Savannah College of Art and Design is the constant inspiration I am surrounded by. I may not live in New York and I may be pursuing a career in fashion, but I guarantee no other art school student can say they have gained friendships like I have. My best friends are all so talented, from fashion designers, to photographers and illustrators, I am constantly surrounded by amazing people with so much passion and talent. One of my closest friends at school, Phoebe, is an illustration major. Originally from Cyprus (yes, a Greek island,) she moved to Savannah, Georgia as a freshman at SCAD. We met in a business class Sophomore year and have been BFF ever since. Her work, in one word, is unbelievable. Her attention to detail and her creative imagination allows her to draw the most beautiful pictures. After watching her draw during late night homework parties at my apartment, I knew I had to get my hands on one of her creations before she made it big and sold them for thousands of dollars. Phoebe kindly offered to illustrate my banner for this blog and it totally made my page look ten times better. I only thought it was fair to share her work with all of you. If you are looking to be inspired or you're just browsing, Phoebe's work is absolutely incredible and I cannot wait to see what life has in store for her.
I have been asked to do a post on my favorite places to shop, especially online, so I am going to start off with featuring my new favorite store, ever. Edge of Urge is an online shopping site (and a store located in North Carolina) that I have discovered and have quickly fallen in love with. From an amazing selection of shoes and clothing to really fun and different pieces of jewelry, EOU is the ultimate place to shop when you want to add something new to your closet. Aside from the things they offer, I have never had such great customer service with any store. I ordered a pair of Jeffrey Campbell shoes from them back in November and received a pretty wrapped up present with a hand written thank you card and my new shoes. The shipping was fast and their prices are completely reasonable. I seriously suggest shopping on this site for the best shopping experience. As a huge online shopper, Edge of Urge is my go-to. They offer the coolest styles of shoes that aren't found on many other sites, plus they have fun look books to browse through and they update their merchandise constantly!
To shop with them visit their site www.edgeofurge.com! Be sure to follow their Facebook as well as their instagram for first dibs on all of their new stuff!
